Classic

The main characteristic of classical dance is that the upper body is straight and relatively stiff and that the movements are carried out by the arms and legs uniquely.

So, it is a sport that requires grace and delicacy to achieve choreography in the right way. 

Classical dance is a discipline for all, contrary to what prejudices say. No matter your sex, your fitness, your age, everyone is welcome in the discipline. There motivation, THE serious and the rigor are the only expected criteria.

Tango

THE tango is one of the best-known Latin dances which is characterized bytwo-person improvisation choreography. 

From theLatin America, tango is danced on a relatively slow pace then fast then slow again. The whole dance is done in a manner sensual between the two partners.

Tango is thus a ballroom dance which has evolved diversified due to its popularity and there are now many different styles:

  • argentinian tango
  • finnish tango
  • chinese tango
  • etc.

Salsa

There salsa is a dance of African origin, calling on the sensual movement of the hips and the whole body

Originally, to dance salsa, it was enough to dance to the rhythm of the music being played. Little by little, dance became codified bydevelopment of specific figures

Salsa is generally danced in pairs but can also be danced alone or even in groups.

The rumba

Originally from Cuba, the rumba is a sensual ballroom dance focused on precise hip movement. 

There are 3 different styles of rumba:

  • guaguanco : rumba focused on a sensual game between woman and man
  • columbia : group rumba, often danced in a circle
  • yambu : slower rumba focused on seduction

Urban dances

THE urban dances emerged in the 1970s in the United States and more precisely in the New York neighborhood of the Bronx. Very popular, the musical style to which they are similar makes more and more people want to get started. Focus on the culture Hip Hop and its most famous dance: the break dance !

Break dance

THE break dance is the dance derived from Hip Hop culture in the same way as the Popping or even the House Dance
